Description
Aspire CoffeeWorks offers craft-roasted coffees while opening new horizons for people with developmental disabilities. We are a partnership between Metropolis Coffee Company, one of the nation's top artisan coffee roasters, and Aspire, a non-profit leader helping children and adults with disabilities. Established in 2009, Aspire CoffeeWorks was conceived to achieve two goals: to expand Aspire’s mission-related activities and to expand Aspire’s financial foundation.
Aspire CoffeeWorks is great coffee doing good. We create job training and employment opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities and bring earned income to Aspire. One hundred percent of the company’s net profits fund Aspire’s programs and services. Additionally, the business informs new constituencies about developmental disabilities and Aspire.
The Aspire CoffeeWorks Production Coordinator works to ensure that coffee orders are processed, packaged, and shipped to customers promptly and efficiently. The Production Coordinator also provides training and supervision to adults with developmental disabilities on these operations.
Requirements
The candidate will minimally possess a High School Diploma/GED equivalent and have at least one year of related experience working with adults with developmental disabilities. Candidates must possess a valid Illinois Driver's License in good standing and access to a personal vehicle to transport trainees.
Part-time Tuesdays 8:00am to 4:00pm
