Planned Giving

“I wish I could do more.” This is a comment that we often hear from our family members and friends. Planned giving is often a low cost way to increase the impact of charitable giving to Aspire. Planned giving refers to a range of techniques that allow you to contribute financial support to Aspire, while minimizing taxes – especially income and estate taxes. It's just a matter of planning what to give, how to give and when to give. Aspire has a number of resources that may help you with planning.

A bequest in your will or estate plan

There are many ways you can assist Aspire in providing compassionate care. A bequest in your will or estate plan is one of the easiest and cost effective ways of ensuring that your family is provided for while helping Aspire serve people with developmental disabilities for generations to come. Remembering Aspire in your will is a wonderful way to leave a lasting legacy that will help to ensure that children and adults with disabilities reach their full potential. A bequest can be in the form of cash, real estate or other property, or even stock. To prepare your estate plan follow these simple steps:

  1. List the people important to you,
  2. List the charitable institutions important to you,
  3. List your assets,
  4. Decide on the distribution of your assets,
  5. Gather your facts,
  6. Visit your attorney.

If you wish to remember Aspire in your current will, a simple instrument (codicil) is all that is needed.

The Everlasting Care Circle

Aspire’s Everlasting Care Circle is a special group of family and friends committed to preserving Aspire’s high quality, loving care. Members of the Everlasting Care Circle have decided to designate a portion of their estate to help Aspire care for our cherished participants into perpetuity. As you consider your own Estate Planning, please know how thankful we are that you might consider Aspire and the loving care we provide to our family of participants.
