Aspire's Resale Shops -
Ongoing Activity
Aspire operates two resale shops: Aspire on Broadway in Melrose
Park and Zoe in LaGrange. These two resale operations are a
major part of Aspire's fund raising efforts, contributing nearly
$300,000 in sales revenue toward Aspire's services. You can
help in a variety of ways:
Come alone or bring a friend and spend a few
hours at the store any Monday through Saturday. Sort through
our many donations, stock shelves and clothing racks, or assist
customers with purchases.
Help stock the store by organizing clothing
drives at your company. All clean, "gently used" clothing
are needed.
Organize your group and we'll work to create
a "special project" that will be fun and worthwhile.

Aspire Participant Activities
Hands-on activities with Aspire's participants are somewhat
limited. However, there are several ways for you to make a
difference in the lives of those we serve:
Secret Santa Program (starts October)
- The holidays are a traditional time of giving. Many participants
no longer have families and have a special need to be remembered
at this time of year. "Adopt" a participant and help to complete
their Wish List and assure a happy holiday season for all.
Aspire Children's Services Holiday Party
(December) - Santa comes to town one December evening,
bringing holiday cheer to the families of Aspire's early intervention
program (children birth to three) and their families. Help
kick?off the holiday season by assisting staff at this holiday
celebration. Volunteers will help decorate the room, serve
refreshments, and assure everyone has a chance to visit Santa.
"Beautify Aspire" Projects (Spring)
- Do you have a Green Thumb? Come put it to good use as Mother
Nature puts winter behind us and promises us warmer days.
Volunteers are needed to help "welcome" spring and plant flower
gardens around our participant's homes.
Aspire Children's Services Family Festival
(Summer) - Summer is a time to celebrate. Help the families
of Aspire's early intervention program (children birth to
five) welcome this season of sunshine at an evening outdoor
party. Volunteers will help with pony rides, face painting,
and various "carnival" games.
