Adults
Residential Choices
Aspire has a comprehensive menu of residential choices that help adults to live as independently and productively as possible throughout their lives, while receiving the support they need to live safely.
- Supportive Living enables an adult to live in his or her own apartment, with support and assistance from the Aspire team. Aspire staff help participants to build the skills they need to live independently, such as budgeting, grocery shopping and house keeping. Our team also provides psycho-social support, helping each participant to cope with daily stresses.
- Aspire’s Community Homes (also known as CILAs or Group Homes) provide a family living environment, where adults share a home in the community with two to seven peers, under the supervision of caring staff. Our Community Homes are immaculately maintained and are renowned for their homey feel and passionate staff support. The residents share in all aspects of running an Aspire Home, such as cooking, cleaning and grocery shopping. Aspire’s 16 Community Homes are nestled in neighborhoods throughout west suburban Chicago. Click here to view some of our homes.
- Aspire on Eastern is an Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) that provides 82 adults with moderate to profound physical and cognitive disabilities skilled 24-hour a day care. Participants also receive a range of recreational and skill-building opportunities. We provide round-the-clock nursing care; occupational, physical and speech therapies; and personalized instruction to address activities of daily living.
Aspire's residential choices are designed for men and women with developmental disabilities, age 21 and older who have Department of Human Services funding or choose private pay.
